Ed Sheeran's Back!

It's the beginning of the new year, and music is about to get a whole lot better. Remember when Ed Sheeran was on a hiatus? Devastating, right? Well, he's finally come back to put smiles on our faces.

I happened to open YouTube, and see "Castle On The Hill". The song references Ed's youth, and speaks to his abundance of young fans everywhere. Then, in the suggestions, I saw "Shape Of You". This one refers to one person's infatuation with another. I reckon you should stop what you're doing right now, and listen to both songs over, and over, and over, and over. Both songs are incredibly written and have such great vibes. It's hard to say which one is my favorite, because they are both so good. Either way, I'm definitely calling that these are both gonna be the songs of the spring, and Ed is gonna dominate this year.

Telana's New Age Soul

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is no one talking about Telana?" Then, sometimes, I think, "Maybe the world just can't handle her."

Telana is young singer-songwriter ready to take the world by storm. With a soft, soulful voice and keen lyrics, she is the next big thing in alternative R&B. At only 17 years old, she released her debut 3 song EP, 'AETHER'. It claimed fame on the internet with the track titled 'Gemini' gaining a nice 1.46 Million plays on Soundcloud. What was I doing at 17? Sitting at home writing a blog.

A year later, she released 'new age soul'. This EP is more lighthearted and bouncy compared to the gloomy, brooding mood of AETHER. My personal favorite track on new age soul is 'Lose My Cool'. It's had a silky, sultry jazz/blues vibe that I adore. I've been listening to Telana's music for a couple of years and I can't wait for her to release a full album so that the whole world can take notice and applaud her for her excellence.

Welcome To The Anniversary

When I was... A young boy....

My Chemical Romance completely shattered my dreams.

I'm sure all of us former emo kids nearly died of excitement when we first heard the news. In fact, I'm sure we all knew where we were when we found out MCR was getting back together. I was sitting at home when my best friend tagged me in a video on Facebook which shows a flag, with a black cross on it, blowing in the wind. All I hear is the notes at the beginning of "Welcome To The Black Parade". Then... "9/23/16". I couldn't believe it. It was probably the greatest feeling I've had in a long time.

They deleted the break up tweet and the rest was history... Or so we thought. Us fans were hit with the worst possible news... THE BAND IS NOT GETTING BACK TOGETHER. They made a statement on Facebook to explain that there will be no reunion and no tour. There will, however, be a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade. I don't know whether to be hurt or happy for them. I guess I'll try to put the pieces of my heart back together in due time.

BTW, wasn't TBP released October 23, 2006? I'm confused, but the sooner the better, right?
